WILDLAND FIREFIGHTERS
Wildland Firefighters was founded in 1996 and is a trusted member of the Firefighting community in Alberta annually providing in excess of 120 trained firefighters to suppress forest fires in Alberta. Wildland Firefighting provides highly experienced and fully trained crews from April to October annually and in some special circumstances outside of this timeframe.
Wildlands is much more than firefighting. The Wildlands Division is under contract with the Little Red River Cree Nation to maintain and operate a vacuum truck providing cleaning services for furnaces throughout the Little Red River Cree Nation three Communities of Fox Lake, Garden River, and John D’Or.
Ice Bridge Building requires highly experienced and properly trained employees. Wildlands has built and maintained vital transportation connections with ice bridges for ( over )30 years over the unpredictable Peace River to the community of Fox Lake.
Fire-smart projects are effectively and efficiently completed by the highly experienced Wildlands employees. These projects remove ladder fuels and fine fuels which help protect Northern communities from Wildfires.
